Hello future host!

My name is Em, I am a warm and attentive 28 year old from Melbourne in Australia!

I have decided to take this year to set off on a journey to learn more about myself and the world. I realised I was very burnt out from my 9-5 office job and business, so I decided to say goodbye to both in order to gain a deeper understanding of myself, the world and other people.

I have been travelling since the end of January 2024 and have found the most valuable experiences lie in meeting the locals from the country’s that I am travelling to. A few achievements so far on my trip have been completing my yoga teacher training in India and hiking the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Nepal.

I am currently in Europe where I enjoyed Couchsurfing in the Czech Republic, Denmark and The Netherlands. As I love food I always make a meal for my couch surf host where we bonded over food and conversations about local culture, politics, music and the likes.

I feel ready now to take on some work away experiences where I can give back even more to the people and countries that I am exploring! I love nature and the outdoors, so I think most of the experiences I apply for will involve one or both of these. I love to learn new skills and am very comfortable with cooking, cleaning and any other tasks that you would like help with! I have a family golden retriever dog back home, so any work away with a dog is a bonus for me!

I am very comfortable with cooking, cleaning and any other tasks that you would like help with! I have worked at a few hostels in the past as well, and did all of these tasks there and more! I have a family golden retriever dog back home, so any work away with a dog is a bonus for me!

I also ran an online social media based business for 3 years, so I can also help with your marketing if need be! I feel as though I have a business savvy brain, so if you would like to discuss this at all, let me know!
