More details about my language interests
I am fluent in English as I grew up and live in the United States. I took 10 years of Spanish in school, so I understand it pretty well. But, not having had a way to be immersed in the language and practice it has made it challenging to keep up my skills. Because of this I would still classify myself as a beginner. I am very passionate about language in general and would love to learn any language, and help teach English as well.

Graduate of Boston University, Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology:
I just graduated from Boston University in May! I learned so much from my peers and professors over the past four years, and living in a diverse community has expanded my horizons both mentally and emotionally.

    Barista at a cafe:
During my time working at a cafe, I honed valuable people skills and customer service abilities. I understand the importance of delivering great service and creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

    Children's museum volunteer:
Volunteering at a children's museum taught me how to engage with young minds, fostering a sense of curiosity and learning. I developed the ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner, making information accessible to a diverse audience.

Volunteer at a soup kitchen for the homeless:
Contributing my time to support the homeless community has further encouraged my sense of empathy, compassion, and a commitment to making a positive impact on people's lives. I understand the value of treating everyone with respect and dignity, regardless of their circumstances.

Singer in choir and a cappella:
I love to sing in my free time! Participating in choirs and a cappella groups has allowed me to refine my teamwork, collaboration, and communication skills. Being part of these musical ensembles has taught me how to work harmoniously with others towards a common goal, be adaptable, and appreciate the strengths of each team member.

Volunteer in Honduras to build a water filtration system:
Traveling to a rural Honduran village in need to build a water filtration system was really a life-changing experience for me. It taught me problem-solving, and the importance of sustainable community development. I gained an understanding of a different culture and the value of cross-cultural cooperation.
