Hello, I am Ellen from Western Australia. I am an outgoing, creative person who is passionate about languages and learning.
I've worked in hospitality and project administration for 8+ years, so I can help you with customer service, restaurant and bar work, hostel work, front desk and reception, social media writing, general errands and administration. But I am open to anything!
I can speak conversational Spanish but would like to improve that through volunteering.
In Australia, I have volunteered by delivering food and packing meals for vulnerable people, assisting with placements in support services, teaching refugees computer skills, and editing and writing correspondence in English for Spanish speakers. I have also done housesitting.
I am most interested in learning about the different cultures, languages and lifestyles in your country. I believe in living to help and understand others - it is these things that give life purpose.

I have always been interested in learning other languages - especially Spanish and Portuguese. I studied English Literature and Anthropology, meaning I am skilled in verbal and written communication in English. I would be willing to teach you a lot about English, and hope you can have conversations with me in your language too. :)

- I have a degree in English Literature and Anthropology
- I can speak conversational Spanish (I would like to improve this!)
- I have completed 2x university units in teaching
- I have worked extensively in hospitality - from small, family style restaurants to a 5-star restaurant. I've also worked in a winery and a hotel. In these roles I have gained excellent skills in communication and customer service.
- My most recent role was in administration, meaning I am organised and enthusiastic about supporting my team throughout projects.
- I am a creative person that especially enjoys writing
- I am open, friendly and adaptable, which is important when you are learning new things far from home.

Reading is one of my favourite past times. I am an active person - I like the gym, playing netball, walking, pilates, snorkelling and swimming. Meeting new people is also great fun for me!
