I am originally from a small island, called Jersey, but have been living in Australia for around 7 years now. I am currently based in the Northern Territory, where I study social work.

I have spent the last few years moving around and love being outdoors - hiking, going to the beach, camping etc - as well as cooking, yoga, running and meeting new people :)

I try to travel as much as I can and now that i'm approaching the end of my studies, I hope to save for a big trip! In the meantime.. I am planning a few weeks back home and in the Middle East. I would like to find some workaway opportunities too, as I think they can be a great way to learn, develop new skills and meet different people.

• I have experience working with children
- I spent 8 months working with vulnerable kids in northern Australia. I absolutely loved my job and learnt a lot from those I worked with - about trauma, escalation management and the importance of taking a person centred approach.
- I have also worked as a nanny to two young children. I lived with the family and helped with daily household tasks, school drop offs, meal prep and activities.
• I have over 3 years experience in hospitality and 1.5 years experience in admin. I have strong customer service and organisational skills, and can pick up work in these sectors quickly.
• I drove around, and across, Australia solo. I can keep calm under pressure, use my my initiative in difficult situations and am very resilient!
• I have good English/communication skills and love writing. Whilst I don’t have lots of online experience, I am always keen to learn and would love to get involved with producing social media content/blogs.
• I grew up with horses and have a good knowledge of horse care/riding. This is a love that extends to other animals as well!
• I am really passionate about sustainability/waste reduction/good food production. I love to cook and am always willing to cook for others.

I had a fantastic time at the riding club. Jagadeesh, Emma, Chandu and their family made me feel so welcome - even preparing a special meal of fish for my last day (the food was amazing!).

Ella stayed with us for a one week and she was amazing. She adjusted with us very easily and our horses.
From stable maintenance to giving work to the horses she helped us through it all.
The meals we would have together was one our memorable moments with her.
We will miss her and We all wish her the best of luck with her future plans.
