Description
Hi, I am Eliza, and am currently a second year Anthropology student at Durham University, England. I have always had a curiosity about different cultures and ways of living, largely stemming from spending time in East Africa from a young age - in cultures completely contrasting to my own!
This led to my adventurous spirit. I've learnt that I love meeting people from all over the world - from spending 3 months volunteering for an NGO rehabilitation home in Tanzania, to travelling solo around India and Nepal at 18.
My degree in Anthropology has only grown this passion, inspiring me to see the world from different people's perspectives, and encouraging me to make a difference. I am passionate about using my life to do what I can to help people! Alongside this, I love hearing peoples stories and making connections with people from all walks of life.Interests

More details about your skills
I'd say my biggest asset is my friendliness and adaptability. I enjoy being in environments that I am not used to, and mixing with lots of different people. I'd say I am very proactive, and will be willing to help wherever and in whichever way I can!
Such adaptability and ability to communicate with lots of people has grown through lots of solo travelling trips I have undertaken since age 18. Straight from finishing school, I lived in Arusha, Tanzania for 3 months, the only non-Tanzanian, non-Swahili speaker in a charity of over 100 staff, and 100 children. I fully embraced being out of my comfort zone and learned to love and learn from the amazing experience! From this confidence, I went on to travel around India and Nepal, with a growing desire to experience different cultures.
I am a very active person, and am captain of my University Athletics Team, as an 800m athlete. This makes me physically very capable, but, arguably more importantly, has made me develop my interpersonal skills. I have thoroughly enjoyed my role as a team leader, and it has taught me a lot in terms of organisation and managing/ helping people.
I'd also describe myself as a highly creative person. I am a jazz saxophonist, and love performing, having been busking from age 12 - certainly contributing to my confidence haha! I also love art, to sketch and paint, so can keep myself very busy, also loving to share this with other people.
Overall, I'd say I am a very easy-going, I am motivated, creative and very organised person not afraid to challenge myself and others when required no matter the task.Age
