    ***Update Aug 2026***
Recently, we spent a few days in Sesimbra and absolutely fell in love with the area. The views, the atmosphere, and especially the incredible climbing spots made us want to stay longer. That's why we're hoping to find a Workaway place near Sesimbra from the end of August until the end of September. We'd love to explore the region more while contributing to a meaningful project and becoming part of your daily life. Let us know if you're in need for help!

    Hello, Eliis here :)

We - Luca, our dog, Tita (female, 8y, kind and lovely) and I- came to Portugal in January, currently spending our time near Aljezur. We're travelling with our car+roof tent and are especially exploring Portugal's nature side, the coast, the mountains, the rocks, the cliffs. Our goal is to travel slow, no rush. We would love to connect deeply with locals and getting to actually know their way of living and being.

We’re both nature and outdoor lovers - we love the quiet just as much as the adventure, and nature gives us plenty of both. We enjoy hiking, camping, cycling, rock climbing and yoga. Anything outdoorsy really. On rainy days - or, to be honest, on sunny days too - you'll probably find us playing chess, board games, or a simple card game. Also, we love cooking and really appreciate good food. Even if the fridge looks completely empty, we somehow still manage to whip up something fancy (don’t ask us how - it’s our thing). We’re comfortable working together as well as on our own, and we’re flexible and adaptable in our daily lives.

Luca is an open-minded, resourceful and determined person. His interests include woodworking, driving (almost anything really), DIY projects and health and fitness. He has one of the warmest hearts and is a true nature lover. He also has experience in assisting and caring for people with disabilities, so he often puts the needs of others before his own - which can be both a strength and a challenge.

I was born in Estonia, and I would consider myself as a compassionate, enthusiastic and grounded person. A little witty from time to time, but only if I really feel comfortable around you. It's very easy to make me laugh. My interests include holistic nutrition, reiki, cooking and baking, coffee/latte art, pilates, and reading contemporary fiction.

We are looking forward to connecting with you, and we hope we can be a little bit of help for you. :)

    Best,
    Luca, Tita and Eliis

Over the past six months, we've been travelling through Portugal and have had the opportunity to complete several wonderful Workaway experiences. Some of the work we've done includes plastering, sanding, painting, wood cutting with an axe and chainsaw, mulching, composting, grass cutting, seeding, weeding, fire prevention and land clearing, harvesting vegetables and fruit, pruning trees, garden maintenance, building and DIY projects as well as caring for animals. We really enjoy practical work and love learning new skills.

    A little bit about Luca:
Luca is very handy, give him a project or problem, and he will tackle it with ease. In the last few years he helped out on my family's horse farm, where he gained experience with all kinds of practical tasks, from driving tractors and maintaining the land to caring for animals and lending a hand wherever needed. His strengths include gardening, woodworking, renovation work as well as DIY projects. He even remodeled our van into our little home entirely by himself. A man of action, if you will.

    A little bit about myself:
I’m naturally organised, happy to keep things clean, and have experience in hospitality and food & beverage - I'm even thinking about opening my own little café one day, somewhere in the countryside. Having grown up on a horse farm where there was always something to do, I have experience with gardening and caring for outdoor spaces. I'm comfortable around horses and experienced in their daily care and handling, but I also enjoy looking after many other kinds of animals. I'd also love to help with guest house or Airbnb management, whether that's preparing rooms, welcoming guests, housekeeping, or creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
