Description
Greetings hosts and fellow travelers!
I'm excited to introduce myself as I embark on a journey to explore the world. I am Elisabetta, I'm 30-year-old and have been moving around for most of my adult life. I've lived in Ireland and Germany for work and studies, thriving in the international settings and diverse cultures.
With a degree in Geography and Sustainability, my fascination with nature runs deep. I'm eager to immerse myself in projects that promote environmental conservation, permaculture, sustainable living, and community engagement.
Exploring diverse cultures while working to protect wildlife brings me immense joy. During an exchange program in Mexico, I delved into Indigenous food systems, their circular design for sustainable food practices and the biodiversity conservation it contributes towards. This experience fueled my passion for working with rural communities and promoting biodiversity and wildlife global sustainability efforts. I also am a permaculture junkie, I looove learning from different project and I would be happy to put our minds together to come up with smart solutions to great a food forest or permaculture system. Additionally, my love for ecology runs deep, this is why I took classes in protected area management and wildlife monitoring.
I also have experience with children from volunteering in youth organizations, and au pair work. I believe children are the future, and I enjoy sharing knowledge on sustainability and nature with them.
I'm a pretty easy-going person who loves connecting with others and hearing their inspiring stories. I've got a curious mind and loads of motivation, and I'm always thinking outside the box to find new ways of doing things. Speaking of passions, as an Italian, food holds a special place in my heart. I'm always eager to experiment with cooking and share healthy meals with others. Recently, I've been nurturing my creative side through drawing and aspire to delve deeper into different forms of art. Despite being a beginner, I'm enthusiastic about contributing to artistic projects and learning along the way.
I cherish moments of tranquility through yoga and meditation. I've been practicing yoga for five years and am motivated to become a teacher soon in India.
Let's create meaningful experiences together while making a difference in the world!
Looking forward to connecting with you :)

More details about your skills
With a background in sustainability, especially diving deep into permaculture, waste management, and circularity, I've picked up some pretty useful skills that I'm eager to share with agricultural and sustainability projects. Lately, I've been all about agroforestry, sparked by my research adventures in a small Mexican town where I got to explore traditional agricultural techniques and indigenous food sustainability.
While most of my experience leans towards theory, I'm itching to get my hands dirty and learn the ropes of creating organic veggie gardens and sustainable homes, covering everything from water and electricity to waste management. My background in waste management processes definitely adds to the mix.
Beyond that, I've got some knowledge under my belt in nature conservation and biodiversity, thanks to my studies in ecology, protected species, and area management. I love animals, so I'm super excited about contributing in wildlife conservation centers, diving into biodiversity monitoring, and helping out with rehabilitation efforts.
I've also rolled up my sleeves for community work and research in rural Mexican communities, where being fluent in Spanish has been a huge plus for connecting with folks and really understanding their needs. And I'm fluent in English too, and I'd be happy to teach it as part of broader community development project. Also I've got a soft spot for educational initiatives both with kids and adults, and I'm itching to learn about fundraising and NGO setup to really make a difference in rural communities.
On the home front, I'm very good in the kitchen. Cooking up healthy meals with local and organic ingredients is my jam, and my experience in housekeeping and customer care has me ready to tackle anything from guest-facing roles in hospitality.
While I'm still finding my feet with drawing, I'm totally down to bring some artistic help and visual storytelling to your projects. And though I'm not a certified instructor, I'm all about spreading the love for yoga and meditation and would jump at the chance to help organize mindful activities or blend creativity with mindfulness practices!

What else ...
To fund my travels, I work part-time as a freelance researcher. So, having a stable internet connection for at least two days a week is pretty important to me. It could be a cozy café, a quiet corner in a public library, or anywhere with reliable Wi-Fi! :)
