Hello! I'm in love with Irish culture and history. I know many Irish songs, not just the beautifully poetic love songs ;), and have been working on penny whistle on and off for many years. I'm an electrician and plumber having worked for 10 years in the construction industry, mostly solar. I have 5 years in film and live music. I spent the summer building a pit house (based on a design of the Mogollon, an ancestral indigenous people of the American Southwest) and am interested in all natural building techniques. I intend to build many houses as part of a cooperative that will be centered around the struggle for indigenous sovereignty here. I'm especially keen to learn dry stone stacking since I am planning to use stone stem walls as foundations for adobe houses on my 10 acre off-grid property where I reside near Albuquerque, New Mexico. I'm most interested in building projects and learning about livestock and fiber arts, but I'll do anything. I am no stranger to hard work. I can run a chainsaw, use an axe, swing a hammer, I can dig like nobody's business. I have rain gear and have worked in conditions from -5C to 43C, on roofs, under houses, etc. Strong back, laid back.
