I currently live and study in Heidelberg, a beautiful town in southern Germany. I want to use the opportunity to do another workaway before I start my "Master's thesis" project.

Hi, I am Louisa! ☀️
I am 26 years old and I grew up in a really small village on the countryside in the south of Germany with a loving family. In the last couple of years, however, I have mainly spent my time in Heidelberg, as a student at the University of Heidelberg, studying political science and geography.

I am really an outdoor person and amazed by our nature everyday. That’s the reason why I am a vegetarian and sustainability is really important to me, so I would love to share ideas and thoughts. I would consider myself a very cheerful human being. I am the happiest when I am hiking, especially in the mountains. I think there is no better way of feeling "tired" than after a whole day out in the nature and with lofts of fresh air. I like to go swimming in the mornings and I am delighted at any occasion to go ice bathing. Cinnamon buns and waffles warm my heart, that is why I try to make them as often as possible. In addition to my studies, I am very active in the field of peace education and political education, especially with young people at schools, and I volunteer at a home for the elderly. I have taught karate to children and teenagers for many years and have a black belt myself - if you would like to learn some self-defense techniques, I'd be happy to do so.

I am grateful for the possibility to explore all the beautiful places. Last year I spent a couple of months in Sweden through my studies and was fortunate to explore all the beautiful landscapes. Besides Sweden, I had the best time on the Lofoten Islands, in Norway anyway, but also in a completely different direction, in South Africa. I'm looking forward to experiencing many more beautiful places, people and landscapes. But I always love coming back home too! Best thing is, vsiting my favorite café, and spending time with my loved ones and with my family, especially my grandpas.

I am very skilled at tasks around the house and in the garden; and I actually enjoy tidying up and cleaning. I like DIY projects and am proficient in smaller maintenance tasks and manual work. I love working with people, and through my experience as a karate instructor, in kindergartens, and through my work at schools, I have gained a lot of experience with children and teenagers. I can teach German or English, and if you'd like, I can also show you karate or teach self-defense. I generally enjoy being outdoors and doing things with my hands. I'd be happy to learning anything I haven't done before, and I would love to try out many new things.

In recent years, I have been involved in many projects, which has made me highly skilled in planning and organizing events, as well as structuring and coordinating tasks. Through my studies and my work, I am used to working independently and being self-organized.
