Description
We are a couple currently taking career breaks to travel around Canada together. Workaways are a fantastic opportunity to meet people, experience local life, and give back along the way.
Dominique - I am a creative and passionate individual who loves exploring and keeping busy. Professionally, I am an Architect, where I love working on human-focused projects with sustainability at their core. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, swimming, diy projects, and spending time with friends and family.
Maddie - I am passionate about charity work and caring for both people and animals. I have a degree in Law and Social Justice and have previously worked as a Support Worker for individuals with disabilities. Since coming to Canada, I have been volunteering as a fundraiser for a small animal sanctuary. In my free time, I am a bit of an adrenaline junky, specifically any water sports. I love exploring new places and trying different foods and cuisines.

We are both willing and able to do a hard day's work. Although we have a lot of overlapping skills, we would like to highlight our individual strengths.
Dominique - I am naturally creative and love a project. I am good at painting, designing, and have basic diy skills. In particular, I enjoy furniture restoration and would welcome the opportunity to get involved with larger building projects. I am a big plant lover and am able to weed, garden, and mow lawns (we are currently house-sitting and looking after the occupants' garden for them). I also love cooking and have experience caring for small animals.
Maddie - I am an all-around animal lover and am not afraid of getting my hands dirty. I have experience dog walking, pet sitting, and helping out on a friend's farm. I have previously worked as a support worker and have provided care for children and adults with learning difficulties. I am an enthusiastic cook and love experimenting with new flavours and seasonal produce.

What else ...
We both love being outdoors, meeting new people, and getting active. We previously organised a small recreational football (soccer) club and enjoy taking part in team sports (even if we're not the best players). We love trying new things and having the opportunity to see new places.
