Morocco - from Sep 2025 until Oct 2025 View allDescription
Hi, my name is Dina and I'm 29 years old. I'm from Germany and started traveling through Southeast Asia in the end of 2015, which was set out to be a 5 month trip - and then the travel bug caught me and I returned home two years later. Since then, I have lived in New Zealand, the Netherlands, Scotland, Greece, Jordan, and Sweden. The last two years, I lived in Germany to take a little break and re-root myself. :)
I really love to travel and to get to know other countries, the people living there and their culture. Personally, I think that cultural exchange is one of the best parts of traveling - besides the food of course ;)
I have studied cultural and environmental studies in my undergrad and hold a Master's in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation (or, as I like to call it, Master of Disaster). Some things I love doing are:
- Being outside (walking, biking, hiking, running, gardening, just lying in the grass, you name it)
- Spending time with animals (horseriding and dogsitting are my favorites)
- Solving problems and breaking down complex things into simple steps
- Filming with my little camera and editing videos
- Learning languages
- Lifting weights and hoop dancing (yes, it's a thing :D)
- Playing my guitar and singing
- Learning about natural remedies/alternative medicine
- Reading books about spirituality/psychology/mind-body-connection/somatics/self-dev and good stories or biographies
- Cooking tasty food
- Sailing (currently doing my license)
- Storytelling
- Connecting with people!
I also love children and have a lot of experience with them (especially age 2-12) because of internships in a kindergarten, primary school, and previous volunteer (teaching) work in Vietnam and Cambodia, as well as heaps of babysitting/childcare over the years.
I'm a very open-minded, chatty and inquisitive person who enjoys meeting new people. I like working in a team because you can get much more done together than on our own, and I'm not above doing physical work — I want to have something to do otherwise I get bored!
I love languages and I speak German, English, Arabic, a little bit of Spanish and Dutch. I would really like to learn Portuguese, so help with that is always appreciated! I'm also becoming more and more interested in permaculture, organic and sustainable living and natural remedies and would love to learn more about it.
I'm really looking forward to gain new experiences with volunteering and hope for some great opportunities to get to know new countries, meeting new friends and doing something meaningful!Interests
