Description
Hey! I’ve recently graduated with a Master’s in Engineering back home in Scotland spending my fourth year (Aug 2023–Aug 2024) studying abroad in Singapore on exchange. That year really gave me the case of the itchy feet and since graduating in May I have the freedom to cure this itch.
I’m open to all kinds of workaway opportunities, from helping with farm work, gardening, or building projects, to assisting in community activities, eco-projects, or even just lending a hand around the house. For me, it’s less about the type of work and more about meeting and learning from the people that I do meet. Experiencing local customs, and contributing in a meaningful way.
I’m adaptable, easy going, and happy to get stuck in with whatever’s needed. My current skill set is definitely more attuned to computers and other gizmo's but I would really like to broaden these horizons through any exchanges that I participate in :)

Languages spoken
English: Fluent
French: BeginnerMore details about my language interests
I’m keen to break my streak of being monolingual and would love to learn new languages during any exchange. I have a solid foundation in French from school, but it’s been over five years since I last used it regularly, so I’m a bit out of practice. I’m also hoping to travel in Latin America in the coming years, so Spanish is high on my list — though I’d be happy to learn any language along the way. English is my native language, and I know that’s a privilege. While I don’t have formal teaching qualifications, I’m more than happy to help others practise and would always strive to do my best in sharing it.

More details about your skills
I’m comfortable working with computers thanks to my engineering background, and I'm more than happy to utilise these skills in both a technical and creative way. I've helped run a university society for a number of years now. I spent a lot of time creating posts, managing online pages, and keeping everything looking lively and engaging for the society members.
Outside of that, I’ve worked in a variety of hotels in the Scottish Highlands in summer jobs, so I’m used to turning my hand to just about anything in a hospitality setting — cleaning, housekeeping, reception, or whatever’s needed to keep things running smoothly.
I’ve also volunteered with Engineers Without Borders, where for example in one project I helped build a water filtration system for a rural community and pitched in with all sorts of practical tasks. I’m very outdoorsy, physically fit, and happy doing hands-on work in almost any setting.
