Hi, I’m Dani, born in Asturias (Spain) and previously based in Berlin. I love connecting with people through travel, sharing meaningful experiences, and embracing a simple, mindful lifestyle. My first solo backpacking and CouchSurfing experience was back in 2014.

After many years in the tech industry (with roles such as software engineer, lead software & innovation consultant and software engineering manager), in 2018 I decided to quit my job and sell everything I owned to embraced a nomadic lifestyle. Since then I've become a long-term traveler and never looked back!

I’m easy-going, curious, and eager to learn new skills. Highly adaptable and always ready to lend a hand wherever needed. I strive to live mindfully and share positive vibes wherever I go.

I’ve always been fascinated by languages. In the past, I’ve participated in several German-Spanish tandem courses and worked at Babbel, a language-learning platform. Currently, I’m learning Norwegian and improving my Italian and French. I love language exchanges and can help with English, Spanish, and German.

I bring a mix of recent hands-on hospitality experience and a strong background on tech & management.

My recent hospitality ventures range from guest relations to housekeeping and front-desk, more recently driving guest experience optimization and marketing strategies, as well as automating processes, improving websites and implementing SEO strategies. Top hostel in southern Spain, retreat paradise for companies in Germany, unbelievable glamping site in Norway… all of them memorable experiences!

I thrive on fostering teamwork and collaboration, creating environments of psychological safety and innovative thinking. I’m especially excited about leveraging AI to streamline operations, optimize processes, and brainstorm innovative ideas for decision-making. It’s been a game changer!

Moreover, I’m passionate about data-informed decision-making and leveraging the power of reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards. Having seen how many small businesses aren’t fully utilizing these tools, I'm excited to share my insights and practical knowledge to help them thrive.

Last but not least, I love cooking (healthy food!), juggling, playing guitar, longboarding, chess… :)

I’m currently spending a time in India, deepening my understanding of mindfulness, yoga, Buddhism, and breathing techniques, which is being incredibly enriching.
