Hey! I’m Daniel, from Barcelona. I just graduated from university, and am ready to explore the four corners of the world! I'm an avid backpacker and wildlife enthusiast, so if I’m not home you can definitely find me on small hikes, awed at every interesting bird and insect along the way. What I love more than exploring nature is capturing its beauty with video and photography to show the world!

For that reason, I’ll be spending the next year travelling through Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil and Paraguay, working on a documentary about wildlife tourism and its sustainability. I want to raise awareness about the amazing work some local organisations are doing to encourage tourism while they educate and help protect the environment.

For the last five years I studied biology and worked part-time as a Spanish teacher, events photographer, web designer and in several hospitality positions, so I am always eager to help in related tasks. I can’t wait to travel this continent for the first time, meeting wonderful people and slowly immersing myself in each culture!

Buenas! Soy Daniel, de Barcelona. Acabo de graduarme de la universidad y estoy listo para aventurarme hacia nuevos territorios! Llevo tiempo haciendo backpacking por Asia y Europa, y soy un entusiasta de la vida salvaje, así que si no estoy en casa, seguro que me encontrarás haciendo senderismo, parando a observar cada ave e insecto interesante por el camino. Lo que me gusta aún más que explorar la naturaleza es tratar de captar su belleza con videos y fotografías para mostrarle al mundo!

Por esa razón, pasaré el próximo año viajando por Perú, Ecuador, Chile, Brasil y Paraguay, trabajando en un documental sobre el turismo de vida salvaje y su sostenibilidad. Quiero generar conciencia sobre el increíble trabajo que algunas organizaciones locales están haciendo para fomentar el turismo mientras educan y ayudan a proteger el medio ambiente.

Durante los últimos cinco años he estudiado biología y trabajado como profesor de español, fotógrafo de eventos, diseñador web y en varios puestos de hospitalidad, por lo que estoy dispuesto ayudar en cualquier tarea relacionada. No puedo esperar a viajar por este continente por primera vez, conocer gente maravillosa y sumergirme poco a poco en cada cultura!

Photography and Video: My biggest passion! This year I'll be spending it creating a documentary project about sustainable animal tourism. My goal is to raise awareness about the amazing work that local organisations are doing across the continent to promote tourism while educating and helping to protect the environment.

Languages: In the past I've taught both Spanish and English at a high school, always trying to make learning fun and effective.

Web and Graphic Design: I've created and redesigned websites for different companies and boosted their digital reach, creating logos and marketing materials.

Field Work (Biology and Sustainability): During University I learned and practised various ecological and environmental research methods. I can collect field data and analyse it in any way needed!

Hospitality: Thanks to my four-year hospitality work experience, I can help in most positions; from waiter, barista, receptionist, and cook.

Fotografía y Vídeo: Mi gran pasión! Este año lo pasaré creando un proyecto documental sobre el turismo de animales sostenible. Mi objetivo es concienciar al público sobre el increíble trabajo que están realizando organizaciones locales por todo el continente para fomentar el turismo mientras educan y ayudan a proteger el medio ambiente.

Idiomas: En el pasado he enseñado tanto español como inglés en una escuela secundaria, siempre intentando hacer que el aprendizaje sea divertido y eficaz.

Diseño Web y Gráfico: He empezado sitios web para diferentes compañías y impulsado su alcance digital, creando logos y material de marketing, así como contenido para redes sociales.

Trabajo de Campo (Biología y Sostenibilidad): Durante mis cuatro años de carrera aprendí y puse en práctica diversos métodos de investigación ecológica y ambiental. Puedo recolectar datos en el campo y analizarlos de la forma que haga falta!

Hospitalidad: Gracias a mi experiencia laboral, puedo ayudar en cualquier tarea relacionada a la hospitalidad; de camarero, barista, recepcionista y cocinero.
