Hi, I'm Dan, I'm 25 years old and finally committing to taking some time to travel. I have some experience with volunteer work but nowhere near as much as i'd like. I love travelling when I get the chance and want to spend the next year wherever doing whatever to be honest. I'm a hard worker and will commit to learning new skills, this is really what i want as I feel like I live a sheltered, predictable life and I wish to leave my comfort zone.

More details about my language interests
-Native English speaker, working on getting a TEFL certificate so I can teach. -Since I travel when I can I always try to learn at least the basics of the language of the country I’m visiting. I used to live in Poland for a while and was probably about A1/A2 level but since moving away and not using it I’ve lost much of my ability and knowledge -I have an interest in learning Spanish to at least conversational fluency and am currently learning via Babbel. -If I attain my goal in Spanish I’d like to learn another major language such as Mandarin/Arabic/Russian.

-I’ve worked as a chef in various restaurants and kitchens for the last 10 years, I’m very interested in learning about the food of different cultures. I’d be very willing to help out with kitchen responsibilities or to maybe teach people.
-I have some experience working with animals and general work on farms, I volunteered at a goat farm in Ireland for a while.
-Im extremely passionate about animal welfare and care, I have no problem at all working with any animals and caring for them.
-I have no aversion to hard work or learning new skills, if I don’t know how to do something I’ll give it my all to figure it out and do it right.
-I’m a bit of an avid fisherman, it’s one of my favourite hobbies and a great way to spend time.
-I plan on getting the TEFL certification so I can teach English, I feel like as a native speaker I could help people and also have a form of income coming in.

What else ...

-I used to play chess in a school league but haven’t played in many years.
-I have a love for history and hope to do a course on anthropology, when I travel I love visiting historical sites and have an interest in amateur archaeology.
-I love quizzing and have experience in putting together pub quizzes for people.
-I love fishing and spend as much time as I can out doing so, I love sourcing my own food so everything I catch that is suitable gets used.
