Description
Hi there, We are Ben and Lauren, a couple from the UK that will be going to Central America for a 3 month trip in November 2024. We are both outdoorsy nature lovers with a keen interest in wildlife, but also have our own individual strengths.
Ben: I am an ecologist with a previous career in healthcare and have volunteered on many projects before; both on workaway and with some larger conservation charities. I have lots of experience with hard labour on farms and I really love the physical challenge of working long hours outdoors. I have experience working as part of a group of volunteers and I enjoy the community aspects of working alongside others, including assisting less experienced volunteers. My passions are definitely for the environment and exercise and I'm not interested in partying or very busy places. My main hobbies are birdwatching, rock climbing, snorkelling and scuba diving, running and hiking.

I am a lifeguard and a PADI divemaster so I am well trained in first aid and CPR.
I am physically fit and i really enjoy working hard, especially outdoors.
I have some art skills as it has been a hobby of mine since i was very young.
I work well as a team, but also on my own.
I have lots of experience working with tourists and have good social skills.
I have some healthcare related skills from my degree (Podiatry).
