Hi, I'm Connor! I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and have lived in a number of different places since leaving home - including Vermont, Boston, Michigan, and Seattle in the United States and the city of Saratov in Russia (I taught English there for a year).

I have an adventurous spirit and love being outside (especially in the ocean), whether it's in a canoe, on a bike, or on a surfboard. I have a deep curiosity about the world and all the experiences it has to offer. I'm genuinely interested by other people and learning about what makes them unique.

I strive to learn and grow and to live more fully today then I did yesterday. To me, that means bringing more of my attention and effort to the present moment and constantly acting upon opportunities to help other people, if even in small ways. I've found fulfillment in doing work that has a positive impact on others. I do my best to approach life with openness to new experiences and a deep appreciation for the beauty in my surroundings and in other people.

I am physically able and have experience doing landscaping-type manual labor (moving rocks, moving gravel, trimming grass, pulling weeds) and cleaning from my time this past fall at a Zen temple in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have some basic stonemasonry skills from some time I spent volunteering abroad. When acquiring new skills, I do my best to pay close attention and learn through observation.

I am a capable cook and have experience preparing large community meals with farm fresh produce at a food co-op I lived in during my university years.

I am technologically savvy and spent most of my 20s working in professional jobs. I can write well, use project management systems, organize and synthesize financial information with Microsoft Excel, and do online research. I enjoy building positive working relationships and working collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals.

I enjoy learning foreign languages (I know French and Russian) and I taught English abroad from 2014 to 2015. I would be happy to share my knowledge of English with hosts.
