Description

Hey, I’m Cole, a small-town guy from central Massachusetts with a big appetite for adventure. I’m passionate about long-distance backpacking, thru-hiking, photography, and protecting the environment. When I’m not out on the trails or behind a camera lens, you’ll find me tinkering with projects on cars, strumming my guitar, experimenting in the kitchen, or testing my limits on the rock climbing wall.

My experience is a blend of muddy boots, customer service hustle, and a willingness to dive headfirst into the unknown. I’ve spent seasons living off the grid at Baxter State Park and with the Green Mountain Club, maintaining trails, supporting ecological research, and hauling gear up mountains. Off the trail, I’ve managed inventory and color matched paint at my family paint store. One highlight is a solo cross-country road trip in a camper van I built from scratch, teaching me how to adapt, stay cool under pressure, and find joy in cooking dinner by headlamp light, even if the beans were questionable.

I can teach or assist with a wide range of hands-on skills including carpentry, chainsaw use and hazardous tree removal, log splitting, engine repair and general car maintenance (body work, brakes, suspension, exhaust etc.), hiking trail construction and repair, stone wall building, invasive plant removal, and sustainable waste systems like composting toilets. I’m also experienced in wilderness travel, backcountry logistics, and lightweight backpacking, with hundreds of miles under my boots. I know my way around outdoor cooking, Leave No Trace ethics, and trail navigation, and I’m certified in Wilderness Advanced First Aid.

I come from a fourth-generation family business that’s been selling paint for over 80 years. If you ever have questions about what paint to use, where, and why—I’d love to help. I’m also familiar with wallpaper, coatings, and all the little things that make a space come together.

I also have a creative side—photography, photo editing, and basic video production are in my wheelhouse. I’ve solo-traveled across Europe and the USA on a shoestring budget, and I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned about planning, adapting, and thriving on the move.
