Hello, pleasure to meet you.
My name is Cláudio, I´m from a small village of Portugal, and I´ve been on this planet for 30 years.
The past 7 years I was lucky to be living my wildest dreams, and to visit awesome places, meet people I´ve never imagined, and with travelling, with the people I met along the way, I changed, I grew, both emotionally, personally and spiritually, to the person I am now, still full of dreams, and with a more rich view of the world, of people.
Travelling as brought me incredible friends, unforgetable memories, and the life I´ve dreamed.
Because of travelling I decided to go back to study, and become a social worker, I decided to become vegan and much more aware of the world we live in and the animals around us, I become a spiritual person and much more happy and peaceful human being, I started to advocate for peace, social justice, climate change.
I must say I´m a bit of a quiet person, but I truly love to listen other people, to learn.
Both what motivates me and brings me happiness is life, being able to live on this amazing planet and meet&connect with people from all over the world!
I love to volunteer, to learn new thing´s, to help, to make an impact somehow and to share.

Well I have a degree in Marketing and International Business, but to be honest it seems like a thing from another life. I also have another degree in social work, that goes from a range of field such as psychology, sociology, sociocultural activities, and of course social work in itself!
Throughout my life I´ve been helping my father with carpentry and fixing thing´s, plus from a very young age I´m used to grow our own vegetables, potatoes, etc. So agriculture it´s something I really like. I also can take care of a house, I can clean, can cook.
I have some experience working in the hotel&tourism area, as dishwasher, breakfast chef, waiter. receptionist, in Norway, Iceland and Portugal!
I also did 2 volunteering projects in Europe, one in Latvia in a youth center and another one as au-pair in Germany, so I´m quite good with kids, with social abilities.

I´m finding myself in a stage where I´m giving priority to my journey within, finding more about life, spirituality, so I can become a better person for others, and achieve the potential it was given to us. Besides that, being vegan it´s a lifestyle of caring for my surroundings, the people around me and animals, as such we are all one. With that comes also a minimalism, a way of living with simply the necessary.
I love nature and camping, it´s a place where I find myself at home, at peace.
One of my passions is to travel, to visit new places, meet new people, to learn from other cultures, other ways of living, to be able to experience the unknown and beautiful that is out there.
Also, social work and being able to fight for better life situations, more opportunities, to help somehow others, to give, is a mission of mine, to give, to share, and create a better world for others.

The work was also flexible and not so hard to do.
Léon is also an amazing City to do workaway, because you can travel around and have an amazing place to stay.
