Description
Dia duit, my name is Cillian, I’m a German-Irish lad interested in health and the secrets of living a good life.
Being drawn to nature from a young age, I studied biology in Germany after school.
And while this was interesting, I noticed how I was craving the experiences beyond the books,
Feeling and sensing the world outside the university.
Since then, I’ve trained as a yoga teacher, moved to Ireland where I deepened my understanding of health by studying biodynamic craniosacral therapy.
I’m interested in vitality as an individual and how we can share this in community for the sake of harmony and peace.
So I’d like to learn from people in other places: What are you doing differently? What’s your story?
Sustainable living, nutrition and cooking, gardening and self-sufficient technologies, fixing things, storytelling.
What can I contribute? And what would you like to teach me?Interests

--Yoga--
I practice yoga and meditate most days of the week.
Yoga has been a constant companion in my life since 2018 and is such a resource for regulating my nervous system.
I did a 200h Vinyasa Teacher training in Germany in 2021, certified with Yoga Alliance.
--Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy--
Health has always been a fascinating subject to me which I have explored through my biology degree as well as on my yoga mat.
My 700h training in BCST in Ireland took me a level deeper on this journey, asking where is health within the body? And where restriction? What sort of patterns can we palpate and how do we support health by supporting the body in its natural strive back to ease.
I graduated from Body College Galway in June 2024 and have been practicing as a registered member of the Irish Association of Craniosacral Therapists, insurance covering the EU and UK.
-- Gardening --
I love being outside and the Irish rain has never held me back.
My dad gave me my introduction to gardening in my teens and I worked for a landscaping company in 2021.
For the last 2 years in Ireland, I haven't had my own garden unfortunately, but have enjoyed helping a local neighbour with her veg garden and received a share in the harvest, yum!
-- Cooking --
...I really enjoy. Good food is a passion for me and proper nutrition an important part of wellbeing. I eat mainly vegetarian, so I don't have much experience cooking meat. I'm famous for my lentil salad 🥗
Update 2025: My sister just taught me how to bake sourdough bread. It's amazing, delicious and fun!
-- Digital Stuff --
I'm a digital native and did some programming on college courses.
So I can help with tech projects and installing new devices.
I also enjoy creative writing, can take care of a homepage, content and basic designing too.
-- Music --
I play the guitar and I sing. Solo and in choir; amped or unplugged; in the shower, as well as around the fire, at open mics and on stage.
-- Café and Barista Skills --
I have 3 months experience of waitressing in a café and making great coffee.
I can confidently pour a heart and am currently working on my tulip. ☕️
-- Guided Tours & Public Speaking --
I have one year experience of guiding tours for visitors within a scientific institute and was a student spokesman within the biology panel at college for two years. I enjoy explaining things, asking and answering questions.
-- Teaching --
...is something I really enjoy. So far I have taught yoga lessons for a few friends, made money for college giving math grinds and as an assistant teacher at 2 college courses: plant identification and ecophysiology. I could imagine teaching English or German in the future.
-- Household Work --
...I can certainly get done. I left home in 2014, so I have a bit of experience with washing and cleaning by now.Age

The weather was still astonishingly good. So we did a good bit of work in the garden, went for swims in the sea. Margaret also took me to her yoga lessons, for some great trips to Bantry market, to a lively acoustic session in Clonakilty where I joined in… read more
The team was very friendly, welcoming and fast to get me going in my new job. Brian and Brigid proved to be very decent employers, providing a pleasant atmosphere to work in and they took us Workawayers out on a boat trip on the Barrow on a day off for an… read more
