Description
Hi there we are an English couple in our early 30s who have decided to broaden our horizons by taking time out to travel to interesting places.
As a carpenter and teacher we have already given back to our community in many different ways. And we offer a diverse skill set of planning, practical and social skills. We have already spent time in Uganda helping with an orphanage and school out there. It was such a rewarding experience and one of the reasons we chose to work away during this trip to Nepal.
We are both free thinkers and want to help the world be a better place through assisting at a local level.
As a carpenter I am creative with my hands and have the physicality to carry out strenuous work. I also love to speak different languages and can not wait to learn more. Recently I walked from Canterbury England to Rome Italy as part of a spiritual pilgrimage, so am used to hiking and talking about subjects of the divine.
Christina is an exceptional artist. She also makes macrame wall hangings as well as running arty projects at her schools. She is an Ethereal being and we share a way of being free and engaging with other cultures.
There is no better way to achieve a communal goal than to help at the grass roots. We belive that living self sustainably is the way forward and would love to share our ideas as well as learning from people already further down the path.Interests

More details about your skills
James is a carpenter and used to working on projects both with the hands and in various management styles. He not only works with wood but also has brick-working, ground-working and timber construction skills. He speaks various languages and has studied traditional and sacred music to a high degree. He can also be found singing at work! He has made outdoor compost toilets, built dwellings using mud Cobbing methods and has built coops for livestock and is a general handy man.
Christina is a fully qualified teacher and specialises in teaching early years between 4 and 10 years old, she teaches across the English curriculum including Maths, English and other school subjects. She also has experience running art and sports activities with older children. She has a firm understanding of safe guarding around young people and is generally responsible for 30 children by herself. In her spare time she likes to create art with natural textiles and and makes her own jewelry.
We both have a great passion for cooking and experimenting with flavors and cuisines of the world. We are excited to taste new flavours where ever we go. We love an adventure and can often be found camping and exploring nature.
We have recently come back from a trip to Uganda where we had the opportunity to share all of the above skills, working efficiently with the senior management team and children of the school and orphanage that we were attached to. Whilst there James was able to use entrepreneurial methods to develop the growth of both the young people and the organisation through acquisition of agricultural land to further educational development. Christina shared incites into the British curriculum for management to adopt into their teaching practices, as well as bringing new teaching styles back to the UK.Age

What else ...
Christina loves any kind of board game and has a rapidly growing collection. She loves to create art at any given chance and is practicing her Henna body art. For another added but of fun she loves to throw some moves with her Hoolahoop engaging in her performance art and physical movement. At a children's party she is the first port of call for the face painting activities and is known in our local area as the one to call. She is also on a journey to build her knowledge of medicinal plants and is currently compiling a reference book.
James loves his history and enjoys researching various eras of the human evolutionary path. He is also halfway through writing a novel about his journey on foot over 2200km from a spiritual and personal perspective about the daily happenings of an exploration of both the self and cultural similarities. He also studies ancient Gregorian chant music as an extension of his choral upbringing in Canterbury Cathedral. He also enjoys long hikes, camping and anything construction based.
All in all we are both very opening minded people and have no issues being either in charge or humbly taking orders in any task. And are very much looking forward to increasing our repertoire and sharing previous skills and experiences. Some more information
