Description
I've recently finished my Master's in Communication Strategies at the University of Padova in Italy. Since then, I've been working remotely as a Marketing Manager for a solar company (you could call me a digital nomad). I've just spent four months in Southeast Asia, travelling around Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand with my backpack. Now that I've come back to Europe, I want to continue travelling and am planning to do a roadtrip through Sweden and Norway to reach the Northern Cape. After that, I'd like to spend some time in Ireland, and when it's getting colder in Europe, move to Spain, Portugal and South Italy. So this year I'll just be travelling and working from wherever I am! As I'm working only part-time (20 hours per week), I'd like to combine my travel plans with some new workaway experiences.
I've already had one workaway experience in Sweden and collected only great memories which is why I'd like to repeat this! I've lived on a farm with an elderly couple together with other workawayers and helped out in terms of gardening and renovation works, as well as helping out in their second-hand shop and with cooking. I refurbished a wooden boat which we then tested on a river nearby (it didn't sink!) and helped with the renovation of the typical Swedish red houses both on the outside and inside. I've really appreciated the skills I've learnt and this is what I like most about workaway. It enables you to learn skills in fields you've never tried out before. In addition to that, you meet many great people and get to know their everyday life and culture.
Due to this great experience, I'd love to do another workaway this summer. Having travelled so much, I do feel at home at hostels, camping parks, or hotels, and would love to help out in one at some point. This could be at the reception, housekeeping (I've done this for a month before COVID-19 hit), kitchen, or similar. I enjoy interacting with customers/guests and am a very organised person, so this would be the right fit for me. In addition to that, I've really enjoyed renovating and painting and would appreciate to earn new skills in this area. I'm eager to learn and would love to have more handy skills. But in the end, I'm open to any kind of help and new set of skills that I can acquire!
I love travelling which I also combine with my passion for photography. I would say I am a very creative person, hence my studies and job. Due to this, I can also help you out with your marketing and social media presence. I am an open-minded person, always looking for new adventures and things to learn. During my free time I also like to cook and try out new recipes as well as doing sports every second day. I love being in the nature and go hiking.

More details about your skills
I speak fluent German and English and I am actively learning Swedish, Spanish and Italian. I have some basic knowledge in Estonian and learned Latin in school. I would love to improve though, so it would be great to have a little chat in these languages every now and then! I can also teach the knowledge I have in these languages.
I am also very creative as I am interested in photography, videography and graphic design. I would say I have a good eye for details. Due to this and also my studies (Communication Strategies) I can also support with marketing and social media. Furthermore, I have a good technical understanding.
When something is broken, I usually try to fix it myself. Even if this means browsing through YouTube tutorials for hours (but it works). I do not have the greatest experience with working outside on farms and craftsmanship but I am a very fast learner and will always try my best. I am excited to acquire new skills!
