Hello! :)... We are two artists from the UK who have graduated from an arts university in Cornwall, UK. We are intrigued in immersing ourselves in a Workaway that would allow us to nurture our creativity, whether it be getting involved in an art project, residency, charity or farm work. That being said we are open to other avenues; we are passionate about cooking, meeting new people, exchanging ideas and knowledge, cold water swimming, nature, sustainability and exploring new ways of living that challenge traditional structures of the ideals of a "life plan"!

We are now travelling in our camper van "Taffy" and looking to explore Europe after being a part of 2 fantastic work-away experiences last year. We adored our experience in North Ardeche, France, where we lived remotely, harvesting vegetables, working with goats, collecting firewood, gardening and cooking for a group of 15 people. We then travelled to Tuscany, Italy, where we helped managing the land and when it rained we created a mural and helped with painting and decorating. We have a fondness for this way of living and hope to learn a language and new skills along the way!

We both have extensive experience in hospitality so have skills in cooking, cleaning, hotel, restaurant, bar and barista work.

Both of us also have knowledge in Microsoft editing softwares such as Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro which compliment well with our artistic backgrounds and passion for creating. While we both have experience in painting and decorating, Charlotte has been commissioned to paint a large scale mural for her previous workplace and personalised art pieces. Liv has also organised music events at her previous workplace and managed their part in the local Pride event. Alongside this, we both have experience in putting on group art exhibitions and continue to work as practicing contemporary artists.

We both drive - Charlotte has experience in driving vans, as well, when working as a carer/enabler for a lovely woman with Cerebral Palsy . This involved assisting her in daily errands such as general housework and personal hygiene whilst also accompanying her on fun activities such as swimming and boating.

Liv has experience working with young children - volunteering in a local primary school as a teaching assistant for a year and also babysitting for a lovely family. Charlotte has worked in a nursery in Thailand and has taught a week-long photography class to children between 8 and 12 years old.

In our previous Workaways we harvested vegetables, did general garden maintenance, helped care for goats, collected wood, cooked for large groups of people, cleaned, created a mural and decorated a bathroom. Although we are not experts at all of these tasks we are intrigued to learn new skills and always up for the challenge.

We are both Arts University graduates and are always open to learning new mediums. Liv's practice focuses on film and video, however, now is especially interested in exploring the art of ceramics and sculpture, whilst Charlotte continues to paint, write, photograph and film.
