Description
We, Charlotte (USA) and Erick (Brazil), are agroforesters living in Embu Guacu, Brazil, at Ecovilage Sustentar. We have been volunteers on various projects for a combined 25 years. We are adaptable, hardworking, and respectful companions. We value autonomy, simplicity, and sustainable practice in body, mind, and spirit. We seek a home away from home May-August, 2025, and we seek payment from our host to help cover our travel costs.
About Charlotte:
I was born in Oklahoma, USA. Since graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in English Writing, I've been working around the world voluntarily with reforesting programs, hospitality, and child/elder care. One important thing I learned about the success of these experiences is that communication with hosts and collaborating volunteers has been key to managing expectations of work and rest, cleanliness, solo time, emergency response, and general livability. You will find that I am candid, apt at what I know, and so very excited to learn what I don't know I don't know.
About Erick: I fell I am a person of many experiences and abilities. From IT technician in Sao Paulo to earning a degree in cello in Verona, I have worked as a outdoors guide, tutored teenagers at social risk, and also taught as a capoeira instructor. I have years of beekeeping and meliponideos (native bees of Brazil) and am lately flourishing taking care of the land through syntropic cultivations and agroforestry.
