Travelling
Description
Hi, my name is Celia! I graduated college this May and I am taking this summer to travel Europe before I return to the States.
Working on a farm in another country has always been a dream of mine. I love to travel and I love nature. I think experiencing what it’s like to work on a farm, even if it’s only for a short time, is an invaluable experience and look into what it takes to keep the world fed!
In my time at home, I love to play video games, spend time with friends, and to do outdoor activities like paddle boarding when it’s warm enough! My work experience is largely customer service based, but it has helped me learn how to adapt quickly and to work with large and diverse groups of people.
I have previously spend a semester abroad studying in Australia, and that was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
I am a reliable, hard worker, and I am excited to learn how to do things I’ve never done before. Traveling is life changing, and I am hoping that participating in a Workaway this summer will be another opportunity for me to learn and grow!Interests

More details about your skills
I earned my degree in Computer Science. Although it doesn’t directly apply to farm work, I have learned so much through coursework and projects about teamwork, collaboration, and problem solving. While completing my degree I worked part time at a natural and organic grocer, which enhanced those skills and taught me time management. It also inspired a passion for good, well sourced food, and I would love to gain a deeper, more personal look into the processes behind it.
During my degree, I took a semester abroad to study in Melbourne, Australia. There I learned so much about myself and others. I met such a diverse group of people who I otherwise never would’ve crossed paths with, gained so much independence, and achieved high grades there while fully experiencing everything the city had to offer.Age
