Description
Hi there!
We are Cecilia and Aaron, a Swedish/English couple and our 1 year old baby girl, Gracie.
The past 2,5 years we have been renting and running an off-the-grid homestead in "the middle of nowhere" in northern Sweden, keeping goats, sheep, chickens and rabbits. Here we have learnt about fishing, caring for animals, making cheese, preserving food, hay making etc - very motivated to provide as much for ourselves as possible. We have also been accepting workawayers during the busy times.
It's been an amazing experience and we have learnt so much, however now that we are having a child we would like to live less isolated and have decided to buy a farm in Norway. We also like the idea of a milder climate and being nearer to the sea.
So with this in mind, we are heading for the coast in Norway, from Trondheim and south. We'd love to meet other homesteaders and look forward to helping out where we can. 🏞️🐐
WHO ARE WE?
Before we moved to the homestead, Aaron was a self employed handy man & landscape gardener. He loves making/building things and has a nack for fixing stuff. He also loves his outdoor sports, like cross country skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking.🌄
Cecilia loves travelling and has done several workaways/volunteering on farms in Turkey, UK and Australia. She's quite a curious and analytical type, loves learning about how things work, including the human body and nature sciences. She's the happiest when she gets to spend time outdoors - doing animal chores, going for walks with Gracie & taking a dip in the lake. She also loves her kitchen experimentation, like fermenting things, preserving meats & making cheese.
Recently we are also getting interested in decentralised cryptocurrencies and agorism and trying to learn more about it.
Since we're traveling in a self converted van, we're not in need of accommodation - only somewhere to park up. We have got our own heating (wood burning stove) in the van too. 🚐🙂Interests

I enjoyed very much spending time with the local workers, and I am glad I got to learn a lot of Turkish trying to interact with them. The tasks were sometimes hard but always fun and rewarding thanks to the good working atmosphere. And I must say that the food… read more
