  • Description

I’m a visual anthropologist and recently graduated from a Masters program in Visual Anthropology in Manchester, England. You can see some of my research projects and photo essays at www.brinnan.us if you’re interested!

I love working with animals and have experience working on farms milking goats and making cheese, herding goats, working as a pig midwife, as well as helping with sustainable permaculture projects and gardening. I love to learn and travel as often as my schedule permits, and hope to study techniques of farming, foodways, and pastoralism— art, cooking, baking, photography, and backpacking are some of my favorite hobbies!

I have also done a lot of youth work teaching art classes for children ages 5-10 and teaching wilderness skills and leading hiking trips for youth age 12-18 at a charity that takes teenagers on week-long backpacking trips in the desert mountains of Arizona. I love to hear stories from others and have quite a few of my own I can share :)
