    Hi everyone!

    Français ci-dessous ;)

*** Just a thing to know first: my partner Damien doesn't speak much English, so you will have to have a minimum of French - so that everybody can improve his/her langage skills and understand eachother!! Thanks! ***

** The helpers are not taking part of the business as we cannot offer any payment for the work done **

We are a little family, Morgana and Damien, 38 and 42, and our 2 year old - with also Damien's teenager visiting on weekends.
We have a lovely female dog named Willow, and 5 cats!
We arrived on this little property, south of the Gers, in the beginning of 2021. The farm is surrounded by nature, facing the Pyrenees mountains. It is 10 hectares of meadow and woods for the goats.
We have 40 goats that we milk once a day from march to october, with the kids being born around february/march. We also make cheese that we sell on local markets and on the farm.

Hosting WorkAwayers has always been a part of the project of moving to a farm. I (Morgana) experimented travelling this way myself a lot when I was younger and it tought me about other ways of living that inspired me to create a lifestyle focused on nature, based on exchange and helping eachother. The project on the farm is also to create biodiversity by planting trees, by respecting nature. On a human level, I am also looking in WorkAway for some cultural, values, point of vue, and ideas exchanges, that I used to find when travelling and that I would like to find in my place now, for us and our children, and people that would want to stay with us.

They are various projects that can be worked on, according to your skills and likes, as well as weeding and harvesting the vegetable garden, planting trees, cutting the brambles, helping in the creation of a chickenhouse, some painting, setting an outside shower, organising and decorating the house ...
Of course you can have a look on the milking/making cheese/selling/feeding goats thing if you are curious of it, as we love to share about our job and lifestyle. We like to let a certain autonomy to people, so that each one can bring a little stone to the main project.
You will have some freetime too, where you can read, take walks in the nature, cuddle goats and learn all their names (each goat as their own name, yes!). We also like a good chat :)
We like to share meals for lunch and dinner, we can cook together or take turns - very happy if you have some cooking abilities! We eat pretty much everything, but we don't drink alcohol in the house - and there often is some yummy goat cheese ;)

The living conditions are quiet simple as we live in an old little farmhouse that is still in renovation, but it's a happy little life. We have dry toilet outside in the garden.
You will be hosted in the tiny caravan or in the chalet, both confortable and warm. The all thing facing the beautiful countryside and Pyrenees Mountains.
And we can go have a swim in the lake nearby in the summer 🌞 ⛱️.

We are looking forward to share experiences and good moments. Hoping to meeting you soon!

    Bonjour,

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

There is a wooden cabin in front of the house, with a double mattress, and a small caravan, single mattress.
Can be tent in summer too.
The used water goes back in the fields so better if you could use biodegradable products.
