Hi! I’m Brigit, a 21-year-old from South Africa with a passion for meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and making a positive impact wherever I go. In the summer of 2025, I’m looking forward to spending a month in Europe, learning about local traditions, and contributing to meaningful projects!

I am currently a student studying International Business and am on my last stretch of my 4 year degree where I will be completing my last semester on exchange in the Netherlands.

I have experience in customer service, hospitality, event planning, and social media marketing, as well as childcare, gardening, and general housework. I’m a quick learner and always ready to lend a hand—whether it’s helping in a guesthouse, creating engaging content, or assisting with daily household tasks.

Outside of work, I love cooking, beaches, photography, and music. I’m eager to share stories, learn new skills, and immerse myself in the incredible cultures of Europe. For me, travel isn’t just about seeing new places—it’s about connecting with people, growing through experiences, and embracing every adventure that comes my way!

I grew up near the beach, so being by the ocean feels like home to me. Whether it’s swimming, or just enjoying the salty breeze, I’ve always loved the outdoors and an active lifestyle. I’ve also been surrounded by animals my whole life, which has given me a deep appreciation for nature and caring for all creatures, big and small.

Having had the opportunity to travel to many exotic places, I’ve developed a strong curiosity about the world beyond South Africa’s borders. Every new destination teaches me something different, and I can’t wait to immerse myself in the cultures, traditions, and daily life of Europe during my Workaway experience. I love connecting with people from all walks of life, exchanging stories, and embracing new adventures with an open mind and a big smile!
