  • Description

Hi, I’m Bre, a 24-year-old Kiwi taking some time off to travel around my own beautiful motu. I was born and raised in Auckland, and I’m excited to experience more rural life as I make my way around the country on a long solo road trip.

I love being outdoors, especially in or near the ocean, and I’m happiest when I’m surrounded by nature. In my free time I enjoy creative projects like pottery, crocheting, and embroidery. I also love to cook and bake (I’m always happy to cook for a household!), and I enjoy gardening — my bedroom is currently half jungle thanks to my collection of houseplants.

I’ve been around animals my whole life and absolutely love caring for them. My family home has a dog and a cat, and I’m very comfortable helping with feeding, walking, and general animal care.

Professionally, I’m a software engineer, which means I’m reliable, organised, and a good problem solver. I’m also very happy to help with in-home IT support if needed! Beyond that, I’m practical and not afraid of physical work — I’m keen to help with gardening, general maintenance, cleaning, cooking, painting, or whatever else is needed.

I have extensive experience working with children. I worked as a maths tutor for five years, volunteered at summer camps, and taught ballet classes for young children. I’m patient, responsible, and genuinely enjoy spending time with kids.

I’m really looking forward to meeting new people, learning practical skills, and experiencing a slower pace of life. I’m tidy, respectful, and independent, and I’d love to contribute positively to your home or project. I’m travelling solo, so I’m comfortable being independent, but I also love shared meals and good conversation.
