  • Description

    Hello!

    ***About Me***
I'm Dana (f34), originally from Berlin, where I grew up surrounded by lakes, forests, and open meadows. My mother runs a veterinary practice, and from a young age, I helped care for all kinds of animals—not just our own pets (cats, big dogs, pet rats, and horses), but also injured or orphaned wildlife like baby birds, squirrels, fawns, a fox, and even a jackdaw once!

After finishing school, I moved to the city to study graphic design. While my main job isn't in that field, I still enjoy working on creative projects, like designing props for movies or working on small freelance jobs. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in various industries—managing seaside resort hotels, working in an artist agency, doing editorial work for German TV shows and recently working as an Office Manager in a software company.

When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me outside. My boyfriend and I have a small garden by the river, which we're transforming into our little paradise. I love painting, cooking, and trying out new sports—especially outdoor activities. People describe me as humorous, creative, a good listener, reliable, and empathetic. I enjoy lively environments but also appreciate quiet moments.

    *** What I’m Looking For ***
I recently quit my office job to explore new paths in life. Now, I'm looking for a Workaway experience between two and six weeks, preferably in April, but also open to stays until June.

I’d love to help with animals or gardening, but I’m also interested in hospitality and open to lending a hand in that field. Beyond that, I’m happy to assist with household tasks or cooking—I'm flexible and eager to learn! All in all, I want to gain new experiences and get a glimpse into different ways of living.

I enjoy peaceful places but also like being around people and experiencing local culture. It’s always nice to explore nearby towns, meet locals, and maybe visit a cozy pub now and then.
A place with some connection to the surrounding area would be ideal but not neccessary.

    *** What’s important to me ***
I’d appreciate having a private room - ideally with my own bathroom, but that’s not a must.
