Description

Hi! My name is Bartosz, I’m 26 years old, and I came to Canada to explore the world and experience life surrounded by nature. I’m a movie enthusiast, enjoy reading (especially crime and thrillers), and love spending time outdoors.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in Finance and International Business. Before coming to Canada, I worked in corporations such as Nordea and Philips, most recently as a Procurement Officer. However, I decided to leave the corporate path and pursue adventure and new experiences abroad.

I’ve now been in Canada for 8 months and gained valuable hands-on experience. I completed two Workaway stays (currently on one), helping with various tasks including outdoor work, general maintenance, and daily support. During the winter season, I also worked for four months in Whistler as a housekeeper, where I learned to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment and as part of a team.

I came to Canada mainly because of its beautiful and wild nature, and I’m especially drawn to the Rocky Mountains. I’m physically fit, motivated, and a quick learner. I’m happy to help with outdoor work, animals, general tasks, or anything else needed.

I’m flexible, hardworking, and excited to continue exploring Canada while meeting great people along the way.

My strongest recent experience comes from working as a housekeeper during the busy winter season in Whistler. Working in a fast-paced environment taught me efficiency, attention to detail, and strong time management. I’m used to physically demanding work, maintaining high standards, and working both independently and as part of a team, even during very busy periods.

Through my Workaway experiences in Canada, I’ve also gained hands-on experience with general maintenance, outdoor work, and helping with daily tasks. I’m physically fit, reliable, and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I’ve helped with yard work, basic gardening, and general property upkeep, and I’m always happy to learn new practical skills.

I also have a professional background in office environments, having worked in corporations such as Nordea and Philips. This gave me strong organizational skills, responsibility, and the ability to adapt quickly to new environments.

Additionally, I’m comfortable with computers and troubleshooting everyday technical issues. I also have customer service and sales experience from working at local events selling craft beer, which helped me develop communication skills and confidence when working with people.

I’m an extroverted, friendly person who learns quickly and enjoys new challenges.
I speak English and Polish (native), and I’ve also studied Chinese (A2, a bit rusty now), Japanese (beginner), and some Norwegian. I’d love to continue learning new languages along the way.
