Description
Hi everyone! we are Hannah and Balloch. Hannah is half-Irish, half-Filipino and Balloch is from the United States.
We are recent graduates (in environmental studies with architecture and politics with international relations) and we are spending the next year traveling and falling in love - for context, we met during our study abroad year in the Netherlands and have spent the past year apart finishing our degrees.
We love to cook, garden, work with our hands, farm, play music, bike-pack, ferment things, hike, camp, surf, ski - pretty much anything outdoors that involves a hands-on approach. We are sociable, outgoing, easy-going people who are excited to experience different cultures and engage in different projects.
We are currently living on an island in Northern Washington State near Canada. Here, we are working as carpenters renovating a property.
Hannah is a TEFL-qualified English teacher who will be teaching English in Costa Rica during the fall. Balloch is bike-packing around the Guanacaste province and is looking for a Workaway project for November.
In the new year, we are moving to the Philippines to spend some time with family but mostly to explore the islands and learn more about Filipino customs, food, landscape, biodiversity and everything in between. We are looking for Workaway projects in coastal areas around the Philippines where we can apply our knowledge and skills in a hands-on and exciting way.
