Hi Workaway community!
My name is Axel, i'm 28 years old, and I decided to quit my job in Munich to start a trip aroundEurope, discovering alternative ways of life, closer to nature, reslience, permaculture, spirituality and much more. I was born in Belgium, grew up in Canada, England and the United-States, lived in Spain and Germany, but I am French! :) I am fluent in English, Spanish and German and love to discover new langauges.
Growing up, I have always been the outdoor kid, climbing up trees and spending lots of time watching animal shows. I love to spend time outdoors, for observing nature or for sports activites like running, trail, hiking and cycling.
My main hobbies are spending quality time with my friends and family, sports, music, spending time outside and reading. Recently, I have read my first book on principles of Permaculture, and felt it really described a way of living that corresponds to what i'm looking for. More resilience, closer to the essentials (nature, family and friends), and lots of fun :)
In 2020, after a few years working as an engineer, I decided to take a step back from my office job to start my journey as a Workawayer. After 2 amazing experiences last summer, I am motivated to continue travelling (mainly with my bike) through Europe, and help develop projects and also gain skills in DIY, permaculture, eco-building, and many more.
