Description
Hello everyone!
I am Awa and I come from Senegal (the best country on earth obviously :) ! My passions are the brain, languages, travel but that's just a few of my interests. I wish I had 7 lifetimes to do everything I'm interested in (interior design, cooking, neuroscience, ...). For this lifetime, I decided to give more time to my true passion: languages. I speak 3 languages fluently (Wolof, French and English). I also speak intermediate German and Spanish. I'm learning currently Arabic, Mandarin and Russian. I cannot stop !!
I love travelling and have the itch for the road. I am easygoing, sarcastic (the right dose), funny and open-minded. I value in a person authenticity, honesty, kindness and easygoing'NESS'. I would like to believe that I can have a conversation with anyone as I am extrovert and curious. I can't wait to learn more about your story that led you to Workaway and hopefully be part of your adventure !
I'm looking to be part of a family, with kids preferably as I love them. I don't mind also joining an initiative that's doing good local work that benefit indigenous/ local populations. My favorites areas as you must've understood it at this point are languages, education and local development.

I am a translattor and interpreter. Our job is to help people communicate the most accurately possible. I love this career, even though it's one of the most stressful that exist. Imagine translating spoken word in real time while memorizing what the speaker says next while saying the translation !
I have a Bachelor in Social Sciences (Politics and Law - Subsaharan Africa) and a Master Degree in International Public Management (Diplomacy and Project Management). I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Translation and Interpretation. I am well-versed in issues related to international affairs, economics, political science, history and other social sciences.
On the less serious side of things, I am thrilled to help with most things as I'm curious and adventurous and I'm a quick learner. I did a solo travel in South East Asia being a young muslim black woman, I think I can handle most things :)

- Babysitting, Home-sitting, Home-schooling, cooking, shopping, help with the house

I'm muslim so I don't eat pork, nor drink alcohol/ eat meals containing wine. I eat Halal meat. However, this isn't too much of a problem as I can always cook for myself meat if I want it and eat vegetarian options with the family.
