Hello!
My name is Aurora. I am born and raised in Spain, and I live in California since 2001. I have also lived in Germany and Brazil.
Definitely, one of the things that motivates me the most and also brings me happiness, is traveling. Traveling for me is not just visiting and enjoying new places, but especially meeting other people, learning from other cultures, and practicing other languages. It is an opportunity to step outside of my daily routine and experience the world from a fresh perspective. Exploring new environments not only broadens my understanding but also brings me joy, as it fills me with memorable experiences and moments of gratitude.

As a native Spanish speaker and a teacher, my strongest skill is to teach Spanish. I teach Spanish using English or Spanish depending on my students' level and needs. I can teach English as well. I have taught English and Spanish to children in all ages and also adults for many years.I am interested in practicing and improving my German, and most importantly my Italian, the new language I am learning.

I have a Masters in Spanish, with concentration in Linguistics, Literature, and Culture. I have been teaching Spanish and English in different capacities and settings for more than ten years. Right now, I work as a High School Spanish Teacher at one of the best private independent schools of Sacramento area, in California. I have also worked as freelance Spanish-English tutor for children and adults. In my teaching experience, I love to motivate students to appreciate the importance of foreign languages, and to incentive a deep study of the language in all four skills (listening, writing, reading, and speaking). Besides the textbook, I create my own materials to practice and teach the language more efficiently. My classes include culture, music, literature, and any tool that contributes to a rich and successful learning process.

I love to play Scrabble, Monopoly, and Ludo. My interests are swimming, going to the gym, reading, and listening to music. I enjoy being in nature, especially at the ocean or any form of water. I love cooking vegetarian dishes, and learning about history, culture, and world religions. I adapt myself very easily and quickly to any environment. I have plenty of experience with children and elderly people. I am an energetic and hardworking person, respectful, responsible, and trustworthy.
