Hi! My name is Aurelia, I come from Warsaw and I'm currently going through an interesting phase in my life where I don't have any permanent living arrangement - I recently moved out of Germany where I spent almost a year and a half and I decided it's a perfect moment to travel and do some valuable work acompannied by cultural exchange. I already had one major Workaway trip across Japan in 2022, where I did all sorts of jobs (listed in sections below) and met many wonderful people. It was a truly life-changing experience and ever since I came back I've been dreaming of doing something similar again, maybe in different asian countries this time.
I'm a philosophy student with a particular interest in ethics. It's a bit embarassing to admit but I never graduated even though I was almost finished - I suspended my bachelor's to be able to work full-time. But now I'm in the process of finishing it again!
My hobbies include art, video games, film and horror genre in general - horror movies, horror games, horror stories... A personal project I work on when I have time is two insie video games I'm trying to develop myself. It's a very challenging endevour, but I'm very passionate about it ^^. I'm currently focusing on improving my programming and pixel art skills!
I also love all sorts of crafty activities such as sweing, crochet, woodwork etc. (although I‘m not a pro in any of these hahah). During my trip across Japan I descovered that working in the field, close to nature and plants, gives me a lot of joy and satisfaction.
I'm an ethical vegetarian and trying to be as vegan as possible - only occasionally I grow weak and get some cheese, free range eggs or milk chocolate 🙈. But I believe it‘s not about being perfect, but doing what we can!
As an autistic person, I might sometimes be a bit shy when meeting new people and adapting to new situation and environment, but once I get more relaxed I'm very easy-going, and sometimes goofy :). I'm also a hard, reliable worker and I'm always ready to learn new things.
I have tried many jobs in my live: I worked as a barista, graphic designer, communication specialist, video game tester, video editor, English tutor and, most recently, a caretaker in preschools and a nanny.
Working with children is something that I never expected I would get into, but I love it and it actually became my main occupation in recent years! I consider it to be my personal mission to make children under my care feel safe, secure and accepted. Nothing gives me greater sense of fulfilment then seeing a child grow happy and comfortable around me!Interests

More details about your skills
I do have some skills when it comes to manual labor, like gardening or DIY. During 5 months I spent in Japan I've been doing various types of work for my Workaway hosts. I gained some experience in:
* farm work (mostly harvesting and weeding, also washing and packing vegetables)
* cleaning and setting up rooms in a guest house and in a hostel
* some general maintanance in a forrest village
* giving conversation practice in English for Japanese English students.
I also have some experience with graphic design, video editing and content writing- it was a part of my job for multiple years, and I also did multiple small projects for friends. I have plenty of cooking experience (mostly plant-based though) and I enjoy cooking for others very much - when I'm living with other people under one roof, it usually so happens that I become the main cook :). Another skill I have is teaching English to children and teenagers and taking care of children aged 3-7 (autistic as well).Age
