Hi ! I'm Asia from Switzerland and I wish to explore the world!

I'm from the Italian speaking part of Switzerland (Ticino), a beautiful place where I grew up surrounded by beautiful nature: mountains, forests, and lakes. I moved to the French-speaking part of Switzerland 4 years ago to pursue my studies and I am now doing my masters in life science engineering. Thanks to my studies, I now speak 3 languages fluently: Italian, French and English. My studies taught me a lot about discipline, persistence and teamwork. I did a 1-year Erasmus that especially opened my world: I met people from all over, made close friends, and realized how much I enjoy connecting with others and learning about different cultures.

I really enjoy nature, especially going on hikes, discovering new places and spending time outdoors. I’m also very creative and I have a lot of fun crafting and painting, doing crochet and reading books. I also love cooking, I am vegetarian and I like to experiment in the kitchen to find different ways to create a good nourishing meal. I also love animals and I’m always happy to be around them and help with their care.

I consider myself curious, open-minded, and hardworking. I enjoy learning new skills and I adapt easily to different environments and routines.

I’m looking forward to meaningful cultural exchange, meeting new people, and contributing to daily life wherever I go.

More details about my language interests
Italian is my mother tongue. I learned French in school. I have been speaking it fluently for 4 years in the french speaking part of Switzerland in my everyday life and with my friends. I'm also fluent in english since most of my courses are in english and I went on Erasmus last year (third year of bachelor) where I spoke english with people from all over the world and the two best friends I made there were from the UK. During middle school I also learned German, but unfortunately haven't been practicing the past few years. I’m very open about learning new languages and the first on my bucket list is Spanish!

I speak Italian, French, and English fluently.

I have experience with gardening and yard work, as well as DIY tasks like painting and assembling furniture, and I’m comfortable using tools and doing physical outdoor work.
I cook vegetarian meals regularly for myself and others and I enjoy baking and experimenting with new recipes. From living in a shared apartment, I’m used to cleaning, organizing, and handling daily household tasks.

I love animals and I’m comfortable with cats and dogs, and I’d be delighted to learn to care for farm animals. I’m motivated by helping others, feeling useful, and discovering new cultures. I’m adaptable, curious, hardworking, and enjoy learning by doing.
