Profile information

Description
Hello! My name is Annie, and I’m excited to join the Workaway community. I’m motivated by curiosity, a love of learning, and the joy of connecting with people from different backgrounds. Travel has been a huge part of my life—I’ve been fortunate to visit 45 countries, often traveling solo for months at a time while studying or working independently and remotely. These experiences have taught me resilience, adaptability, and how rewarding it is to step outside of my comfort zone.
I also bring experience in writing and cultural history preservation. I studied and worked in digital archival management, where I helped preserve stories and materials that highlight diverse histories. I love projects that combine creativity, research, and meaningful impact—whether through cultural preservation, communication, or everyday community work.
Some of the things that bring me joy are:
- Spending time outdoors (hiking, walking by the water, or just exploring a new place on foot)
- Creative projects like writing and photography
- Cooking and sharing meals with others
- Learning new skills and trying things I’ve never done before
- Good conversation over coffee or tea
What motivates me most is the opportunity to contribute while learning from others. I value kindness, flexibility, and collaboration, and I try to bring those qualities wherever I go.
