  • Description

We are lovers of nature and adventure, happiest when in the outdoors, which is why we chose to take six months of this journey around the sun in South America -- filled with beautiful landscapes and phenomenal biodiversity. We like pushing ourselves to our physical and mental limits, but at the same we know how to relax and simply enjoy the serenity of life. We are fast learners, can learn things new independently and collaboratively. We are excited to bring positivity into your home, and help you get things done.

    Philip:
I’m Philip, and I love unconventional activities. A solo bike trip from Berlin over the Alps to Venice, surviving a night in an igloo during the Scandinavian winter, crossing the Caucasus on horseback, climbing a Norwegian glacier and sleeping on top of it.

Hitchhiking taught me that staying close to people offers the best chance to understand a country, and that’s why I want to participate in Workaway. I want to learn from you while doing my best to support your house and community. As the son of a tree-cutter, I know how to work hard and get things done. While converting my own van into a cozy camper, I discovered that I really enjoy building things and getting creative with designing solutions.

Another hobby I practice while traveling is video production. Capturing moments is very valuable to me, and sometimes I even publish them on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@philipjanz4466

Hope to get to know you soon :)

    Amee:
Ask me the question, "where are you from?", and you will get a long story! I grew up in a household in which my parents had completely different cultures (Egyptian and Soviet) and I went to international schools throughout the Middle East my whole life. As a result, I love learning and experiencing new cultures and appreciate all ways of life.

Not only was I surrounded by different human cultures, but also that of birds, reptiles, fish, felines and canines. I grew up with many animals in my home and always aspired to work with animals in my life. Lucky for me, I found myself in an ecology graduate project, where I was involved with handling wild animals for ecological studies. Wildlife, in fact, is my passion.

Included in my lifestyle is that of centering and presence (I try my best). I am a certified 200Hr yoga teacher (practice for 7 years) and do a multitude of physical sports such as cycling, hiking, swimming, scuba diving, skydiving, horse riding, skiing. I also enjoy creative projects with many different medias such as music, painting and building.
