Description
Greetings!
Our names are Alexandra and Barbora, we are a young couple from Slovakia. We are taking a gap year, before applying to our dream medical school in the Czech republic. We are hoping to spend the year abroad helping out and working, meeting new great people and spending time in nature, preferably on a farm!
We have some experience working on a farm in Norway, mainly picking cherries but also doing some other errands around the house and orchards.
We hope to gain new skills and experience working on a farm with animals.
Alex is very reliable and organized. She hopes to spend time with horses and enjoy peace in nature. She enjoys watching and dicussing good movies and theater plays and doing light yoga. She loves getting new tattoos, cutting her hair short and animals, mainly cats. She has two Devon Rex cats, Morty and Betty, and a Yorkshire terrier Molly. She used to have many rats.
Barbora is open-minded and adventurous. She enjoys photography, drawing and writing. She likes to move around and her favourite sports are tennis and skiing. She is also a beginner at bouldering. She has a Welsh Springer Spaniel, Dotty, and a turtle, Wyfo. She also really loves to cook and bake, mainly vegetarian dishes.
We both love traveling and learning about new cultures and we would love to experience farm life, because that is where we see our future.

- we are both fluent in English, Czech and Slovak (Barbora knows some basic German)
- Alex has experience in working with children on a summercamp and people at the hotel reception
- Alex was a volunteer at a local horse farm and worked with horses for two months
- Barbora was a volunteer photographer for environmental volunteers in our country
- Barbora enjoys cooking and baking
- we have been working on a cherry farm in Norway (Barbora three summers, Alex one summer)
- we have some basic gardening skills from our small family garden
- we are open to learn how to care for farm animals and garden
