Description

Hello, we're Aileen and Steven, both 31 years old and from the west coast of Scotland. We're currently taking a year-long sabbatical from our careers back home to travel across south east Asia, Australia and NZ and are aiming to fit as many new experiences into our time off as possible!

Aileen:
Having the opportunity to travel full-time for the first time has been a total dream come true for me: after studying history and history of art at university, I love to learn as much as possible about local life, culture, music and art wherever I can.
I adore animals (especially my beloved family Schnauzer, Nellie), and am an experienced horse rider. Having picked it up at 5 years old and riding weekly since, but never yet owning my own, I’d particularly love the opportunity to work with horses whenever possible.
I really enjoy being outdoors, hiking and nature, and try to get out and about as often as I can. Although I don't have any labouring skills, I'm happy to get my hands dirty and try anything!

Steven:
Traveling this year has given me the chance to experience so many different walks of life, and I’ve loved every opportunity to learn from the amazing people I’ve met along the way.

I love the outdoors and being active, and I’m more than happy to help with any physical jobs or hands-on tasks like gardening, housework or any other projects you might need a hand with - at 6ft 5 I’m well-suited for anything that’s hard to reach!

Back at home, I work as a graphic designer, so I’m also happy to help with any creative or digital projects and share some of my knowledge - from design and content creation to social media.
