Arriving to New Zealand in March to backpack across the country on a working holiday visa for the year. I plan on spending part of my time working for room/board via Work Away, and part of my time doing paid work depending on where I am and what opportunities arise. Always looking for new adventures, experiences, and cool people to meet. Active and willing to try anything at least once.

I've worked in the skilled trades since I was 18 and am proficient with tools and working with my hands. I have my gas fitter's license back in Canada and have worked in a range of mechanical fields such as heating & air conditioning, plumbing, and motor/pump repair. I'm physically in shape and accustomed to working outdoors in the elements. I also have part-time experience in the service sector (restaurants and retail) and am comfortable with customer interaction.

I'm very active and love the outdoors. I like to hike, camp, snowboard, and am always looking to try new things. I love playing games (board games and sports) and will never turn down a chance to see live entertainment (concerts, stand-up comedy, sporting events). Writing is one of my hobbies and I also have some experience in the film industry. I'm organized and disciplined but love to joke around and have a laugh.
