  • Description

    Hello,
My name is Yasmin and I am 30 years old. I’ve recently reached a milestone in my career, and now I want to take some time to explore more of the world. Having worked and lived abroad before, I’ve developed a deep love for traveling. For me, working abroad is the best way to truly experience a country—its culture, its people, and its way of life.

I’ve lived and worked in Boston and Australia, where I also gained my first experiences with Workaway. Together with my travel buddy Maren (you can see her in the pictures and read about us in the recommendations), we spent some time with wonderful hosts. We helped out in a permaculture garden and at a sanctuary with sheep, horses, possums, wallabies, and alpacas. These experiences perfectly aligned with my interests.

I love spending time outdoors and admiring the beauty of nature. Preserving the environment and working to reduce the humans damage on it has become an ever-growing interest of mine. In recent years, I’ve started gardening and exploring food processing and preservation. I also have a huge love for animals. As Maren describes me: “She has so much love to give for all kinds of furry or feathery creatures and just never gets enough!”

I am particularly drawn to projects that allow me to work outdoors in nature, help the environment, and ideally, involve animals. That said, I’m also adaptable and open to other kinds of projects. I can manage a household, enjoy cooking, and have experience working with children. In Australia, I worked as a waitress, provided childcare, and helped take care of a household. Moreover, in the past few years I did a lot of creative work (makrame, pottery, embroidery etc.) and enjoyed these DIY projects and beeing able to create things myself.

Pursuing my PhD in medical biology over the past few years has further strengthened my organizational skills, independence, and ability to learn quickly. I’m flexible, eager to take on new challenges, and always excited to meet new people. Sharing stories, exchanging ideas, and learning about different cultures - whether over a cup of tea or a glass of wine.
I’m communicative, easygoing, and love a good sense of humor. So please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to hear from you and look forward to connecting!
