Hello!

~ I'm currently looking for a host in Belgium! ~

I'm Xavier, I'm 25 years old, originally from Canada and I've been living Belgium with my girlfriend since earlier this year (she's from Belgium).

About me, I'm easy going and get along with many people. I love meeting people from all over the world! I'm openminded and I believe that we can learn something in every situation.
I'm a pretty fast learner and very good working alone or in a group. I like the job to be well done and be invested in the work I do. In my daily life, I try to be mindful of my thoughts or emotions and enjoy every moment of life!

Meditation is something that I practice daily and is important for me. I also like cooking, reading, journaling, hiking, cycling, … and love playing board and card games :) I love music and play instruments : trumpet, drums and guitar. I can also ride a unicycle and slackline! I love languages, I speak fluent English and French and I'm currently learning Dutch through Duolingo.

The environment is important for me, so I try to limit my waste as much as possible, also being conscious of my actions in my daily life. I grew up with many pets throughout my life, always ones from refuges and I have an easy connection with them. I eat mostly a vegan diet, but sometimes I eat eggs from local farmers and dairy products here and there.

I did a trade in auto mechanic and have experience with westfalias! Cycling is one of my passions and I'm very good at repairing bikes and I'd love to do some maintenance on your bikes if you have some!
My girlfriend and I met on a permaculture farm through workaway back in 2022. Since meeting her we've traveled across Canada and parts of the US in a van.

I have a lot of experience in permaculture and really enjoy working on farms but I'm also interested to try other types of work workaway has to offer. I love discovering new things and learning new skills!

I have experience with cars as I did a trade in mechanic, I'm also good with operating machinery such as skidsteers or backhoes, I have experience working with my dad. I'm handy with tools. I have season's experience managing a fruit and vegetable market where I was in charge of loading and driving the van and maning the market from start to finish. I'm good with computers and technology. I'm ponctual, adaptable, patient and an early riser, I'm a quick learner and I ask questions if I'm not sure. I'm open to many jobs and I'm excited to help wherever I can!
