From Scotland!
Hello there. A little bit about me. I'm a writer with a bachelors degree in English Literature and my first novel almost nearing completion. I'm also a builder, with extensive experience in the construction industry and a recognised Level 2 Qualificiation in Carpentry and Joinery, granted to me by City & Guilds. I also have experience as a trek leader and have undergone numerous canoeing expeditions.
I can work either independently or as part of a team. It's also fair to say that I am near my happiest when occupied with activities that fulfill my good-health and craftsmanship. I value friendship and comradery highly in my life and I'm always willing to meet new people. I pride myself on my gentle nature and my ability to make others comfortable around me.
Money, fortunately, has never been much of a desire in my life, and so volunteering work doesn't faze me in that sense. Experience in healthy environments is what I want, and shelter where I might continue my writing and woodwork/ gardening passions. I find working with sites like this is a great way to travel. I hope you might take me on!
In New Zealand I will be van-travelling with a companion, a local girl from Waihiki Island. She is also experienced in the construction industrdy and highly adept, so keep that in mind if you are willing to take us on (for a stay of roughly one to two weeks should be expected).Interests

More details about your skills
I've taught English to school students in their teenage years and so have learnt to be confident and enthusiastic in the teaching environment, and have learnt how to appropriately befriend younger people.
I'm good with my hands. Level 2 in Site Carpentry and personal woodworking jobs.
Art has always been a hobby too and I enjoy using my hands in a more creative way. Including writing.
I find talking to new people enjoyable. Making connections.
I find charity-work rewarding, as well as sustainable work, and I won't be difficult when being given work that involves helping others and earning my stay.
I greatly enjoy the outdoors and feel a sense of achievement when working in it. The Scottish Highlands have been extensively explored.Age
