Hi, I'm Vanessa. I am part country, part city, American and European. I am an open and friendly person who likes to try new things. I am an active and fit, high energy person. Boredom is my enemy and I will not let the moss grow under my feet. I take direction well and I am a hard worker. I am happiest when I am in action especially working with my hands. I also like to take time to relax , spend time in nature and appreciate being in good company. I am a sensitive and serious person with a good sense of humor. I enjoy reading, playing games, traveling, meeting new people and cuddling with furry animals. I am looking to go on adventures, hike, swim, practice yoga, grow food, and learn about farming/homesteading and of course, make friends and connections along the way. My best memories are from my previous workaways.I have been living in New England most of my life. I am ready to chase the sunshine this winter. Next direction, south!

Organizing and cleaning are my superpowers with painting not far behind. I have had a wide range of jobs/careers. Ive had a cleaning business, owned a repair shop with my husband, dabbled in real estate, and was a household manager and nanny for a special needs child for many years. I have experience with basic farmwork as I worked on a farm while in Cobleskill college. I am a hard worker and a self starter. I can evaluate a job, understand what it takes to complete it and easily see it through to fruition. I am enthusiastic and catch on very quickly. I am a good communicator and multi tasker.I like to feel useful and I take pride in all that I do. I hope to be an asset to anyone who needs me.

I have a big soft spot for children, animals and the elderly. Which is why I do not eat any of them. Some of my favorite things include: playing cards and more cards, board games and non contact sports such as badminton, reading- mostly non fiction, watching movies, listening to music- preferably loud, hiking, anything to do with water- swimming, paddleboarding or just sitting on a dock. Nature is my happy place. I loooove road trips. I prefer the school of life vs. University. Other special interests are nutrition,teaching/learning, religions, politics, helping the weak and vulnerable and life long learning. I would like to learn permaculture. I look forward to meeting folks who are interested in sustainable business practices which can add to the health of the planet and the people who live on it.
