Description

Hello ! My name is Valentin, i'm 23yo and i recently finished my master's in Management of sustainable transition and circular economy at the university of Montpellier.

I struggle defining myself in a short text and i would take ages to think about some specific areas. I learnt to be curious from everything that surrounds me. Nevertheless, i dedicated my short life to understand our world, specially by the point of view in economics and sociology (i did a double bachellor at the univerity côte d'azur in economics and sociology).

My main hobbies are mountainbiking, play the guitar and hang out with friends.
I speak 3 lenguages : spanish, french and english (in that order). I was born in France but i lived nearly 20 years in Chile (south america), beacause half of my family is french and the other is chilean.

During this last year i worked a lot and did a lot of volunteering on my city (Montpellier). I was working as a project manager on sustainable projects in a new agency that accelerates ecological transition for companies. But at the same time, i was volunteering in a erasmus student organisation (ESN Montpellier), that welcome exchange students.

Also in Chile we host foreigner students with my family since 2015 while i was going to school, so i can say that i grew in a international environment.

My goal with workaway is to learn about different cultures, learn different lenguages and meet new people !

I worked as waiter and part of the administration at my mother's restaurant when i was 16 - 17 years old.

I did some volunteer within the school in 2018 to help raise some money for needed students in the south of Chile.
During the pandemic i learnt how to make video edits with adobe premiere pro, which remains a hobbie until today (i make my own videos for myself and friends, specially when we travel).
During my last bachellor year (2022-2023) i was part of the students association, which allowed me understanding the role of those associations in the student's life.

For two years i volunteered in the "Festival International des Sports Extrêmes (FISE)" in Montpellier. I learnt a lot and i made some friends, it was an amazing expirience.

Last year i did an internship at the University helping to create projects on circular economy, those proje'cts wehere financed by the european union and helped to create a more sustainable environnement.
This year i worked as a project manager in a new kind of public-private agency in Montpellier called : Agence des transitions. Our goal was to accelerate and raise awareness about ecological transition, specially on SME's.

Last year a di two workaways in Sweden : 5 weeks with a kind family where i helped with the family business ; and 2 weeks with another beautiful family where i helped to build a duck house :). I loved my experience there and i would like to repeat it in Italy.

Love animals, with my mom and sister we have a cat named "Cuchi", and at my grandparents we have a little dog named Charlie. Not relevant but now you know.
