Hello everyone!
My name is Tim Rülke, I am 25 years old, and I come from Waldheim, Germany. I am a hands-on person who enjoys tackling new challenges and working on practical projects.
In my free time, I love playing Airsoft, working on house renovations – whether it’s complete overhauls or modernizing rooms – and designing my garden. It gives me a lot of satisfaction to see creative and practical projects come to life.
Professionally, I have gained a lot of experience in areas such as commercial vehicle construction, woodworking and interior finishing, as well as metalworking. I bring strong technical skills, teamwork, and a lot of craftsmanship to the table. I’m excited to contribute these abilities during my Workaway experience, whether it’s for renovation work, gardening, or other practical tasks.
I have a relatively good understanding of English, although I sometimes need a bit of time to respond. I am eager to improve my language skills and make good use of them.
For me, Workaway is a fantastic opportunity to apply my skills, meet new people, and discover different cultures and ways of life. I look forward to becoming part of my hosts' daily lives, exchanging experiences, and working together on exciting projects.

I’d like to share a bit more about my skills and experience to help you decide if I would be a good fit for your needs.
I have a solid background in craftsmanship and practical work. Professionally, I’ve worked as a fitter in the commercial vehicle industry, where I specialized in constructing and assembling custom vehicle bodies. Additionally, I’ve gained experience in woodworking and interior finishing, which has further strengthened my technical skills and attention to detail. I have also worked with 2D laser cutting machines, including programming and operating them, as well as maintaining the equipment.
In my free time, I enjoy working on home renovation projects, from complete overhauls to modernizing individual rooms. I am experienced in tasks such as sanding, painting, and basic construction work. Gardening is another passion of mine—I enjoy designing and maintaining outdoor spaces, and I’m happy to get my hands dirty planting, weeding, or building garden features.
