Hi,
Originaly from Lithuania-Belarus region. Actually located in Vilnius, Lithuania. In Portugal did some volunteering experience in Sesimbra region, Pedrógão Grande region, Oliveira do Hospital region. Visited: USA, UK, Germany, Russia and some European Countries.

Would be great to meet somehow possibly fair, honest and friendly community/host, where I could share my possible knowledge and try to accept the knowledge of others.
Thankful to help and interact for nutrition, accommodation.
I do like peace, love, joy, fresh air, nature, chilling, doing, thinking, napping, cleaning, repairing..etc.. Good

Very responsible and very caring host. I did here my first workaway experience in May-June 2020. Me shy, silent and somehow passive person usually, so David messaged me even via WhatsApp very often, to ask, if I'm ok. Appreciate it very much. It helped me somehow to remove office-computer-city flair from the shoulders and meet a little bit of… read more nature. He even balanced the food menu, that would fit my needs. I learned a lot about Portuguese and Mediterranean cuisine. While being there, I had a feeling, like I'm meeting my far far forgotten family from Portugal with Catalan roots. I felt respect and appreciation. So, sometimes misunderstandings, of course, but they are probably more from my side, because I don't have much experience in human interactions. Communication seems to be one of the good keys to solve such difficulties. One of the reasons for good vibes is a good developed infrastructure on David's land (water supply from more than 80 meters deep well with special pool over the ground, that creates pressure naturally and eliminates installation of a pump to bring the water to every corner of the land. Electricity from solar panels and accumulated batteries. Compost toilets and shower under the sky. Fence all over the area to feel secure, because of the obviously wild pigs in the area. Fire extinguishers are all over the area and at every building, that makes, me at least, feel little bit secure, because of the high summer temperatures). The van accommodation was perfect for the volunteer like me. It had a lot of comfort (water from the tap, electricity from the sun, gas, kitchen equipment etc.) I did help with deconstruction of pallets to build the 'summer kitchen' out of them. I did some plants watering, weeding, helped in some way with the cleaning of the accommodations for guests. I did also a little bit of cutting the branches of a cedar trees with a chainsaw. And enjoyed the unique atmosphere, that was around over the untouched and beautiful natural secured area as possible.:) The amount of Flora is immense in the region. I haven't seen so much different kinds of flowers and plants in one place before. To the South of the place, some cliffy area and fantastic and at the same time romantic ocean Atlantico and different sun views. The lighthouse and an ancient monastery are also to the South at Cape Espischel. Every night the light from the lighthouse is visible from David's land and helps to dispel fears and uncertainty and make feel little secure. Somehow to the North of the place, it is possible to find a sequence of warm, not too crowdy (possibly, because of the minimal amount of tourists in the area, because of the COVID situation), peaceful beaches. Naturists beaches are also among them.:) Approx. one hour chilling walk to the beach area. With Uber about 3-4 EUR from David's place to Bicas beach. Mobile network coverage (Vodafone, NOS) is quite low in the area, possibly, because of the Nature Secured Area on the map, with the possible purpose not to make harm to the nature with the mobile phone frequencies. David's home has a wifi. The Supermarkets are in Santana town (~10km away). The Local shop is in the nearest place Azoia (~1km). I don't realize, that I was in a unique place like this. It's like a dream or a fairy tale, still..:) Atlantic Ocean-Mediterranean countries are indeed 'terra incognita' for me till now, still. Priceless experience. Definitely recommend!
